Get ready for the Tompkins County Public Library's annual Summer Reading Challenge (June 23-August 4th)! A plethora of exciting and innovative activities, events, and of course, reading await you this summer at the Tompkins County Public Library!

Check out books, read, and attend programs at your Library and beyond to earn free books and a chance to win raffle prizes!

Participants in the Summer Reading Challenge will receive a free book when they sign up and when they complete the program.

Pre-Reader Summer Reading Challenge (Ages 0 – 4)
Celebrate the joy of books this summer by reading with your little one, attending library programs and building skills and connection with early literacy activities! Enjoy free events at the Library all summer for pre-readers, such as Miss Judy’s Musical Adventure, Summer Art Fun, storytimes and more! Reading calendars to track your early literacy activities can be picked up at the library or found at http://www.tcpl.org/using-library/just-you/youth-services.

Kids' Summer Reading Challenge (Ages 5 - 10)
This program kicks off Saturday, June 23 with a performance by Moreland the Magician. Children ages 5-10 can enjoy free events at the Library all summer long, such as the Nate & Kate Kids Show, Comics Camp for Kids, our Greek Mythology Writing Adventure, and more! Reading calendars to track your reading and activities can be picked up at the library or found at http://www.tcpl.org/using-library/just-you/youth-services.

Teen Summer Reading Challenge (Grades 6-12)
Program dates- June 23-August 4
Teens who participate in the Summer Reading Challenge will receive a free book when they sign up and entries into our prize raffle for every 5 hours of reading. Enjoy free events at the Library all summer long, such as The Greatest Showman Sing-Along, Fables and Tales Writing and Gaming Camp, Wearable Electronics Class, Karaoke Night, and more! Registration cards and punch cards to track your reading can be picked up at the library.
