A Collaboration ofKids Discover the Trail! provides curriculum-based field trips to the eight sites of the Discovery Trail, and site-specific books to take home, for all Ithaca City School District (ICSD) students in grades Pre-K through 5. This program is funded by gifts from local foundations, businesses, and community members, and is supported by ICSD.

We are pleased to announce that a new website has been established to provide "how to" information for teachers, administrators and community members interested in Kids Discover the Trail! A generous grant from Triad Foundation has allowed us to collect the most successful ideas and activities related to Kids Discover the Trail! and post them to the website http://kdt.wikispaces.com/. The ideas were gathered from experienced ICSD teachers, Discovery Trail educators and KDT! administrators. We hope this wiki will serve as a "how to" manual for those new to KDT! and a repository of good ideas for more experienced educators and administrators. Please add your comments, suggestions and any relevant documents that might help us improve and share this program documents.
